Castor Sauna Box
(music is not us)
"The Sauna Box is dialectical investigation of the common shipping container and traditional sauna. Through this tension it addresses built environment issues – minimum impact, sustainability, and presents them in an accessible, usable form." -prefab saunas are run of the mill but this is different-" The Sauna Box is water tight and can be transported to any location, needs minimum site preparation, has a wood fired stove and is electrically powered by solar panels. Each Box is site specific and custom built. The outer skin is constructed of Cor-Ten steel, a material that withstands saltwater and used as sculptural material. This utilitarian, sculptural aesthetic is continued on the inside with hand made objects such as carved stone stools, stone sink, custom wood and metal work."

Paper Thin sound (thermoacoustic effect)
Nanotubes have extraordinary strength and unique electrical properties. They are efficient conductors of heat and are the width of a strand of hair.
Chinese scientists found that very thin carbon nanotube films, once fed by sound frequency electric currents, could emit loud sounds. The scientists demonstrated in YouTube videos that their prototype could blast a scratchy but understandable version of the Moldovan pop song "Dragostea din tei" while it was taped to the side of a waving flag

el Finisher bag
'No Mas', Chris Isenberg, has really outdone himself here. He has taken his huge collection of vintage Starter jackets -- more than 200 of them, accumulated over the past decade -- and begun turning them into gym duffels, which he's calling Finisher Bags. Total fucking genius! "The sewing is a very tough job, because every jacket is sized differently and has different patches, appliqués and embroideries," Isenberg explains. "So we have to make it the proper shape and then move all those details into the right position."
