Ari Marcopoulos had a private viewing of his “Within Arm’s Reach” show at the UC Berkeley Art Museum last night. The show opens today and will be running all the way until February 7th 2010.

Spicy Vegetarian Black Bean Burger
Ingredients:
* 1 15 ounce can black beans, drained
* 1/2 onion, diced
* 1 tsp hot sauce
* 1/2 red or yellow bell pepper, diced (optional)
* 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
* 1 Ener-G egg replacer
* 1 cup bread crumbs
* oil for frying (optional)
Preparation:
Mash the beans in a large bowl and add remaining ingredients, mixing until well combined.
Press firmly to form into patties and lightly fry in oil. Or, fire up the grill and barbecue your black bean veggie burgers over a medium heat.

i first saw the 'stay gold' plane in 2000. dude was up! plastered everywhere in the streets of SF. but it was late april'09 where i stumbled upon the bg website. I then put, 'plane to face'. fortunately we both live in the same city so i recognized his art. keep up the good work holmes. oh yeah, "works for jerks". Solid Gold!
